Overview | Location
With catchy songs and high-energy stage antics, Vorasek is a rock and roll four-piece that you have see perform live. From humble beginnings in Kingston, Ontario, Vorasek went on to host their own weekly music showcase in the community, and eventually moved on to playing shows around Ontario as an all original rock band. The group released their debut album, "Hold On," in the summer of 2011. You can preview and purchase it online at the Amazon MP3 store, or on iTunes.

History -

Vorasek came together originally when Pat and Ted found each other on a musician site called Bandmix. They talked influences, goals, direction and, after adding Joe, started modestly by playing open mic nights at local bars. It was obvious to the guys right away that doing so was becoming a great way for Vorasek to get noticed. They began playing more, and getting paid gigs around town, and eventually were hosting their own night at a local rock bar.

As they gained the attention of some more established bands, Vorasek began receiving gig invites and getting booked in various venues around Ontario. As the shows grew, and the band evolved, they realized there was a demand for more guitar. The band made a decision, and Jeebs was added to the group.

Now as a rock four-piece headlining their own shows and selling albums, Vorasek continues to press on, always refining their evolving songwriting style and working hard to be Canada's next top band.

The Guys -

On drums is Joe Pelow, graphic designer and skateboarder extraordinaire. Joe originally played bass in high school, but coming from a musical family, picked up the drums naturally. Joe does all the graphic work for Vorasek.

Bassist, Ted Evans provides back up vocals on most tracks and takes lead for some as well. Ted also manages the band's affairs in booking and promotion. He writes for their various sites, and contributes greatly to songwriting and arrangement. Ted is the one behind the ever so danceable guitar riff in "Bolder."

Pat Marshall, with his wicked stage presence and multiple awards in music, sings and plays guitar for the band. He's also been in such bands as The NoGoods, Snot Rohmit, and Silver Screen Quotations ("Take Charge" battle of the bands winners 2008) Patrick plays a large part in songwriting, arranging, writing lyrics, and producing most Vorasek songs.

The band's newest member, Jeebs Simpson, fills out the Vorasek sound as their second guitarist. Picking up and fitting into the Vorasek sound quite quickly, Jeebs "really take(s) their sound to a new level." - Matt Hartwick, kingstonmusicreviews.ca. Jeebs worked as the band's sound engineer on their debut album, "Hold On," 2011
