Live right on Lake Ontario in Kingston’s wealthiest neighbourhood of Alwington. Alwington is a beautiful community to live in, with a great view of the water and most of its buildings built between the mid nineteenth century and early twentieth century. This small community has a lot to offer its residents with its historic mansions, such as the Bellevue House, Sir John A. Macdonald’s home when he was Canada’s first Prime Minister, and a National Historic Site of Canada. The Alwington neighbourhood is also home to Baron de Longueuil, which used to serve as the Governor General’s house, along with St. Mary’s of the Lake teaching hospital and the J.K. Tett Centre for the arts. Alwington can be found in downtown Kingston bordered by Union Street (North) , Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard (West), Albert Street (East) and Lake Ontario (South).
