1000 Islands Poker Run / Kilo Run

Poker runs are unique events where boats navigate a specific course and pick up a single playing card at five scheduled checkpoints. At the end of the course the boat with the best hand wins. Poker Runs are events for the entire family. At each of the five checkpoints, host communities provide unique and entertaining activities, sometimes linked with waterfront festivals.

Over 50000 fans come to watch Kingston's 1000 Islands Poker Run which is the largest international poker run. So mark your calendars today, and be sure to capture the spine-tingling thrills of taking part in the Kingston Poker Run. It is held during one of the first weekends in August.

  • Buskers Rendezvous
    The annual Kingston Buskers Rendezvous is a four-day celebration where toop-notch entertainment is the nucleus.
  • First Capital Day
    First Capital Day is a celebration held June 15th  that commemorates Kingston's place in Canadian history as the nation's first capital
  • Fanfayr
    Held annually since 1982, Fanfayr features arts and crafts designed by Southern Ontario and Quebec craftspeople.
  • Canadian Olympic Traning Regatta (C.O.R.K)
    This two-week event in August attracts sailors from all over the world to compete in many races
  • 1000 Islands Poker Run / Kilo Run
    Over 50,000 fans come to watch Kingston's 1000 Islands Poker Run which is the largest international poker run.
  • Kingston Sheep Dog Trials
    This annual two-day event in August sees approximately 100 border collies pawing their way to the ranks of top sheep dog.
  • Limestone City Blues Festival
    Limestone City Blues Festival is held in August. and has over 15 venues around the city of Kingston.
